Franklin Recreation Lacrosse
The Franklin Girls Lacrosse registration is now open to girls who are Franklin residents and are in the grades 1st through 8th. Registration is now being accepted on our new online registration system: https://franklinma.myrec.com/info/default.aspx
Teams are grouped by the following age divisions: 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade.
When is the season?
Registration, for the upcoming spring season, generally takes place on November 1, 2023. Outdoor practices for the 2023 season will start on March 19, 2024. Games will be held: SUNDAYS, April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19, June 2, June 9 (Jamboree - location TBD)
. The practice schedule will be up on the website in early Spring. Practice times are subject to change due to FHS games, track meets, etc. but generally we practice on Tuesday and Thursday evening at FHS.
Who do we play?
The league consists of teams from the following towns:
Acton-Boxboro, Barnstable, Bedford, Belmont, Brookline, Cambridge, Charlestown, Concord-Carlisle, Dartmouth, Dedham, Dennis-Yarmouth, Dorchester, Dover-Sherborn, Easton, Falmouth, Framingham, Groton-Dunstable, Harlem, Hingham, Harvard, Hopkinton, King Philip, Kingston, Littleton, Lowell, Martha’s Vineyard, Medfield, Milton, Nantucket, Natick, Needham, Nemasket, New Bedford, Newton, Norwood, Northboro-Southboro, Old Rochester, Plymouth, Sandwich, Sharon, Stoneham, Sudbury, Walpole, Waltham-Watertown, Wayland, Wellesley, Weston, Westford, Westwood, Woburn
These teams are considered the BEST in the state for girls lacrosse at the high school level.
My daughter is in middle school...is it too late for her to start lacrosse?
No, it is never too late to start. Every year we have first time players in every grade from 1st through 8th.
When are the practices?
Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursdays and some Fridays from 5:30pm - 8:45pm though the beginning of June. Each age group practices for 60-90 minutes at each practice.
When are the games?
Games are played on Sundays only. Game start times range from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Typically the older girls play in the morning.
How do I find out who my coach is?
All the teams rosters will be finalized in early 2024 and will be posted on the Franklin Lacrosse website. You will receive a welcome email directly from your Coach before the season.
